You know how some people seem to be luckier than others. The ones that buy just one ticket in the raffle and win first prize? But are they just born lucky or are they doing something else to literally manufacture their own luck? The answer is almost certainly the second of those two and you can join them by following these simple ideas to make your own luck.
1. Believe you're going to win
OK, maybe not the lottery where the chances of winning are millions to one. But with near enough anything else, a belief that you're going to win could be enough to tip the balance in your favour.
There's more than one story of slot machines in Las Vegas and elsewhere that have been closed down because they paid out big sums too often. Yet when they were examined, nothing was found to be wrong.
And that's correct. The machines didn't stand a chance because they were played by people who believed they could influence their own luck and it happened!
So set aside your disbelief next time you engage in anything that involves in chance and believe - truly believe - that you're going to be the winner.
2. Stop being reasonable
Now I don't mean being unreasonable and impolite when you're dealing with other people.
But I do mean that you should stop settling for merely reasonable outcomes. Instead, set your sights and aims high.
Unreasonably high.
The more unreasonably high you set your aims, the more luck you will encounter in your life. Because even if you don't reach those unreasonably high levels, you'll still have positive things happen to you that would never otherwise have happened.
Give it a try. Set your aims higher than you've ever dreamed possible and let the power of "luck" help you to manifest them in your life.
3. Become more intuitive
We all have gut reactions from time to time.
Most of us ignore them and - in hindsight - that often proves to be the wrong decision.
Start listening to your instincts and then following them. Acting almost on impulse.
You'll be amazed at how much this seems to force luck into your path.
4. Be more aware of your surroundings
This goes hand in hand with being more intuitive.
Increasing your awareness - often by simply noticing things that you've drifted past in bygones weeks, months and years - will help you notice seemingly insignificant details. But, like that butterfly that innocently flapped its wings and caused a hurricane, these will compound together and naturally draw more luck into your life.
