Personal Improvement Plan: 3 Confidence Building Exercises for Doing Business on the Internet

Doing business on the internet can be rewarding once you get going; however, when you listen to the experts, you realize that it really takes a personal improvement plan to build your foundation properly.
And why would that be? I mean, isn't the whole idea of doing business on the internet that you don't have to make any phone calls?
Well, yes... and no.
Here's the thing: You can make sales on the internet without ever talking to anyone, yes. However, the sales you make begin with learning how to improve confidence, because your own personal strength is portrayed in the way of your articles, blog posts and videos.
And who wants to follow or buy anything from a loser who doesn't even believe in his own personal strength? Nobody does.
So here are a few personal improvement plan confidence building exercises...
1) Learn the art of communication - and begin with yourself.
Whether you're aware of it or not, your thoughts are a series of questions and answers. And our thoughts, in the form of images in the mind, are triggered by the "answers" to the questions that we ask ourselves.
For example...
When you're about to create a video, you might stumble over your words at first take and ask yourself, "Why do I always screw up the beginning?" And your brain will answer "Because you're a bumbling idiot!"
So the idea here to make sure that you ask yourself the right questions so you can ensure positive answers within your own psyche.
Be careful about allowing these thoughts to enter your head, because it's not long before we identify ourselves with the description!
Once we have a negative image in our head of who we are, we tend to identify with that image and own it.
We think "I sound retarded when I speak" instead of thinking "I have the ability to change lives by touching others with what I say.. how exciting! No wonder my heart is pumping fast and I have sweaty palms - I'm so excited!"
Allow yourself to believe that you are important to others by asking the right questions, and interpret your physiological responses in your body to be positive signs of power.
So your first personal improve plan exercise is to change your vocabulary whenever you catch yourself describing your attributes.
It's easy to say, "I feel like I've been hit by a truck", when you really mean, "I feel tired today." Recent studies have found that when angry people tend to be less angry when they simply use less intense descriptive words... "I really peeved", instead of "I'm livid", makes you actually feel less angry. "I'm uncomfortable with math", instead of "I'm a math retard". And it works with all emotions.
2) Let go of blame.
I could blame my parents for being overly protective, and thereby not allowing me to develop my social skills, but that would keep me from growing in any personal improvement plan. Why? Because it's taking responsibility for my own shortcomings that gives me the power to change! It's not up to my parents or anyone else to make me change. I have the power to do that! And so do you.
3) Read.
"Read?" I used to think... "what a waste of time!" But then I took a look at all the successful people doing business on the internet. They ALL read. What does this have to do with building confidence and your personal improvement plan? When you read (or listen to personal development audios), you're continually thinking about how to improve self-confidence. This is reflected in your marketing strategies and how you communicate to others.
Remember those questions you're asking yourself?
When you ask yourself better questions (which will come to you out of reading), then your brain will give you better answers.
While your own personal improvement plan is a growth process, you will find that changing your habits to fit those of a successful internet marketer is where it begins. It only takes 21 days before a habit starts to feel "natural" within yourself and you just start doing things automatically.
And that's really the secret to doing business on the internet successfully.
Persistence. As far as confidence building exercise, I'm a strong advocate of blogging, because it's a great way to discover your inner passion. The more links you have bouncing around, the more leads you get, and the more leads you get, the more money you get.
